Agenda: Nov. 29-Dec. 3

This week, Latin 1 learns new vocabulary and the Ablative of Means. Latin 2 reviews all we know about Latin verbs, and some unit 6 vocabulary. Both are learning about monuments of Rome on Friday.

Latin 1:

Nov. 29/30:

• Due: TB p 64 Ex. A-C
• Bellwork: Practice vocab quiz
• Daily phrases: Colors: Quo colore est hoc? Est aurantius/argenteus/albus/ater/purpureus/fulvus.
• Go over homework
• Review lesson 5-7 vocab and sententiae
• Translate lesson 7 “Columbus”: Begin in class together, finish for homework. Color code parts of speech, then translate.

Dec 1-2:

• Bellwork: Daily bonus translation
• Vocab quiz: Lessons 6-7
• Daily phrases: Colors (blues): caeruleus/venetus/cyaneus/lividus
• Introduce lesson 8 vocab Unit II Week 4 Vocab
• Ablative of means notes
• Whiteboard practice
• Go over midterm reinforcement worksheet
• Homework: TB p 69 exercise A: List the case of each word and translate the sentences.

Friday Dec. 3 (A day):

• Bellwork: Kings of Rome quiz (Once Upon the Tiber, chapters 1-7)
• Collect Kings project (questionnaire & poster)
• Monuments notes
• Exit slip: 3 monuments you think were most important to the Romans, and 1 you would most like to visit & why

Latin 2:

Nov. 29-30:

• Finish lesson 33 story (A4, B1 only)
