AGENDA: November 1-5

This week, Latin 1 presents geography travel projects and finishes chapter 5 with the story “Roma,” preparing for a lesson 5 quiz next week on M/T! Latin 2 will learn about the monuments of the city of Rome and B day will begin lesson 31 by reading the next chapter in the story of Aeneas.

Latin 1:

November 1-2:

• Bellwork: On a map of the Mediterranean, draw arrows marking the course of your Mediterranean trip.
• Presentation: Students present their Mediterrranean travel project (no more than 5 min. per student)
• Exit slip: List three interesting places you heard about in other students’ presentations.
• Homework: Genitive review worksheet Genitive worksheet
November 3-5:
• Bellwork: Genitive miniquiz on which students may refer to the homework from M/T
• Translation worksheet: “Roma” (chapter 5) – students may translate individually or with a partner. Lesson 5 Roma translation
• Homework: Study lesson 5 vocabulary, sententiae, and genitive for quiz on M/T
 
Latin 2:
November 1:
• Bellwork: List as many Roman monuments (famous buildings) as you can think of.
• Presentation with notes handout: Roman Monuments;  Monument Slideshow Notes Worksheet Monuments Slideshow Outline 
• Exit slip: Of the monuments you learned about today, which do you think were most important to the Romans? Which would you most like to visit? Why?
November 2-3:
• Bellwork: Tell what you know about the Roman Forum.
• Presentation with notes handout: Roman Monuments
• Exit slip: Of the monuments you learned about today in the forum, which do you think were most important to the Romans? Which would you most like to visit? Why?
November 4-8:
• Bellwork: Copy the personal pronoun chart (pg 219) into your notes.
